The Minority Caucus in Parliament has issued a one-week ultimatum to the Ghana Medical and Dental Council (GMDC) to provide clarification on the medical registration status of Dr. Ann Sansa Daly. This development follows President John Dramani Mahama’s decision to revoke her appointment to the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Board, citing concerns over her credentials.
The GMDC has been asked to confirm whether Dr. Daly is or has ever been registered to practice medicine in Ghana. Additionally, the council is expected to disclose whether individuals without registration are permitted to present themselves as doctors.
The Minority Caucus is awaiting the GMDC’s response to shed light on the matter and ensure that the necessary protocols are being followed.
