Celebrating 50 Years of Tsatsu Tsikata at the Ghana Bar

Ghana’s legal community, academics, corporate leaders, and the general public are coming together to honor the distinguished legal practitioner Tsatsu Tsikata as he marks 50 years since his enrollment at the Ghana Bar. The commemorative celebration will take place over three days, August 6-8, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.

Celebration Highlights
– Day 1 (Aug 6): Focus on Tsatsu’s legal practice in courts, military tribunals, corporate world, and more. Speakers include Tony Lithur, Thaddeus Sory, Goosie Tanoh, and Nana Appia Kyei, with Lawyer Emile Short chairing.
– Day 2 (Aug 7): Spotlight on Tsatsu’s academic career with memories from former students like Kwesi Quartey, Professor Martin Tsamenyi, and Christopher Quaye. Followed by a lecture on “Challenges of Legal Education in Ghana” by Professor Raymond Atuguba. Chaired by Rt. Hon. Doe Adjaho.
– Day 3 (Aug 8): Discussion on Tsatsu’s wider NDC and national involvement with Mrs. Betty Mould Idrisu and Kyeretwie Opoku. Tsatsu will then share his reflections. Chaired by Prof. Akilagpa Sawyerr.
