The Bono Regional Branch of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has expressed appreciation to individuals, institutions, sponsors and well-wishers whose support contributed to the successful organisation of the 4th Bono Regional GJA Awards.
The ceremony, held at the Sweet Touch Hotel in Sunyani, brought together journalists, media practitioners, government officials, traditional leaders and other stakeholders to celebrate excellence and outstanding contributions to journalism in the Bono Region.
The Association singled out the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress and Special Guest of Honour, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, Works and Housing Minister Ahmed Ibrahim, and Bono Regional Minister Joseph Addae Akwaboah for their presence, contributions and support towards the Association’s activities, including efforts to secure permanent office accommodation in Sunyani.
It also acknowledged other dignitaries, sponsors and partners, including the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani Technical University, Newmont Ahafo South Mine, NADeF, Nsoatreman Community Bank and ActionAid Ghana.
The GJA expressed particular appreciation to Sweet Touch Hotel for providing its conference hall free of charge, while commending all sponsors and institutions whose support helped make the event a success.
The Association congratulated the award winners for their hard work and dedication, describing their achievements as an inspiration for excellence within the journalism profession.
The statement, signed by the Bono Regional Chairperson, Regina Benneh Siaw, said the support received from all stakeholders made the 4th Bono Regional GJA Awards a resounding success.
