Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey has resigned as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications and the Digital Chamber of Ghana, effective May 2025. Dr. Ashigbey’s tenure, spanning nearly eight years, was marked by exemplary leadership, passion, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
During his time at the helm, Dr. Ashigbey played a pivotal role in elevating the telecommunications and digital financial industries in Ghana. His leadership saw significant strides in innovation, regulatory engagement, and cross-sectoral collaboration, making the sector a key contributor to Ghana’s digital economy ¹.
The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications and the Digital Chamber of Ghana paid tribute to Dr. Ashigbey’s service, expressing deep gratitude and pride in the impact he has made. “We are deeply grateful for his service. The two Chambers and their members express deep gratitude and pride in the impact Dr. Ashigbey has made,” a statement released by the Chamber said.
As Dr. Ashigbey transitions to his next chapter, the Chambers have pledged to build on the strong foundation he laid, strengthening advocacy, deepening stakeholder collaboration, and pushing for innovations that grow the industries and lift Ghanaians across all sectors.
All correspondence regarding the Chamber’s CEO will be directed to the Chairman of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications until a new Chief Executive is appointed .
