Accra, Ghana – November 19, 2025 — The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) of Ghana issued a public notice regarding an Interpol Red Notice involving Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori‑Atta, who has applied for the removal of his name from the notice.
In October 2025, the Commission for the Control of Interpol’s Files informed Ghanaian authorities that Mr. Ofori‑Atta submitted an application to have his name removed from the Red Notice. The Commission requested Ghana’s response to the application, which was duly provided on October 22, 2025.
Subsequently, on November 7, 2025, the Commission notified Ghana that Mr. Ofori‑Atta filed additional arguments in an addendum and asked Ghanaian authorities to respond by November 21, 2025.
The OSP stated that the proceedings are still pending. The Commission is reviewing the case, and during this period, the applicant’s name, image, and details are redacted from public view until a final determination is made.
The public is advised to disregard any contrary publications about the matter, which the OSP attributes to mischief and misinformation.
