This initiative, effective from the 2025/2026 academic year, aims to promote equitable access to healthcare education and support students pursuing careers in the health sector.

Key Highlights of the New Policy:
– Fee Reduction: The government will absorb half of the approved fees for all first-year students enrolled in Nursing and Allied Health Training Institutions.
– No-Fee-Stress Policy: This initiative is part of the government’s flagship program to ease the financial burden on tertiary students nationwide.
– Compliance: Institutions are strictly required to adhere to the approved fee structure, with penalties for non-compliance.

According to the Ministry of Health, this decision underscores President Mahama’s commitment to supporting students and families committed to academic and professional advancement. The Ministry has directed Heads of Health Training Institutions to begin preparations for admitting new students under the revised fee structure.
