Senator Ned Nwoko has shared his thoughts on Peter Obi’s presidential ambitions, suggesting that Obi would be better suited for a role as Minister of Economy. According to Nwoko, Obi’s strengths in the business world and conservative approach to handling affairs would serve him well in such a position.
Praise for Peter Obi
Nwoko described Obi as a “good man” who impressed him with his humility, citing Obi’s solo visit to London as evidence of his unassuming nature. He also highlighted Obi’s experience as a “big-time player in the business world,” suggesting that this expertise would be valuable in turning around Nigeria’s economy.
Challenges for Labour Party Presidential Aspirations
However, Nwoko expressed doubts about the Labour Party’s chances of producing a president, stating that “many things in Nigeria will work against the emergence of a president under the Labour party.” He also mentioned that “Igbo people are not ready for presidency,” which he believes would be an obstacle for Obi’s presidential aspirations.
Potential Role for Peter Obi
Despite these reservations, Nwoko believes that Obi would be an excellent fit for the role of Minister of Economy, where he could leverage his business acumen to drive economic growth and development in Nigeria. Alexander Afriyie
