#A Call for Authentic Leadership: A Response to Samira Bawumia’s Unity Appeal

As sympathizers of Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, we are compelled to respond to Samira Bawumia’s recent comments on unity and humility in the political sphere. While we appreciate the importance of unity, we cannot ignore the apparent disconnect between her words and actions.
The Real Insult to Unity
Samira Bawumia’s call for unity rings hollow when her camp is accused of sponsoring lies, fake polls, and smear campaigns against Ken Agyapong. Blocking names from registries and pushing false narratives undermine the very fabric of unity she claims to champion. It’s time for leaders to practice humility as a principle, not a performance.
Let Ideas Speak for Themselves
We agree that elections should be about ideas, not personal attacks. However, when one side resorts to underhand tactics, it’s hard to take their unity talks seriously. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s camp should focus on showcasing their vision and policies rather than trying to orchestrate wins through manipulation.
No to Hypocrisy
We respect peace and constructive dialogue, but we won’t tolerate hypocrisy. Ken Agyapong’s supporters will continue to speak truth to power, even if it means facing criticism from those who claim to champion unity. Authentic leadership demands accountability, transparency, and a commitment to fair play.
The People Will Decide
Ultimately, the people of Ghana will decide who leads them, based on ideas, vision, and character. Let’s focus on fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and genuine dialogue, rather than trying to silence dissenting voices or manipulate public opinion. The future of our democracy depends on it. Ghanatalk.com
